65 FUEL INJECTION, DUNTOV winner YENKO sale new

Mr. Dennis Hakim, who has been a Bloomington Gold Judge for 16 years for 65 Corvettes and is also a Black Hat Master NCRS judge and specializes in 65 Corvettes, inspected this car with me Jim Gessner on June 3, 2006. I saw the car in February 10, 2006 when these pictures were taken.
He agreed with my appraisal that the car is a very original 65 Corvette. The body appears to be never damaged and appears to have one lacquer repaint. Original door jams with original weather-strip and paint . The chassis is in very nice ‘original’ and sound condition. I sold the car to fellow Corvette enthusiast MARK.
MARK'S HISTORY IS POSTED BELOW
I have owned this Silver Pearl, black vinyl, 1965 fuel injected Corvette for over 14 years. It has never been in an accident. It has all of its original body panels and bonding strips. It earned the NCRS Duntov award in 2012 with a score of 99.4%. It has also earned multiple Top Flight awards at Regional and National events prior to earning the Duntov. It passed its Performance Verification on the first attempt in 2010.
All factory options installed by factory, there are no added options to this car. Options include: fuel injection; 4-spd close ratio transmission; 4:56 positraction rear gears; F40 special heavy duty suspension; auxiliary hard top; full soft-ray tinted glass all windows; AM/FM radio. The teak steering wheel was added by me.

One lacquer repaint around 1970 according to second owner. Paint has blemishes but looks great as car was garaged and loved by its previous owners. I am the fourth owner.Original and nice condition interior including carpets in good shape. Jack board was replaced.
Drivers seat foam is weak.Engine, fuel injection system, transmission and rear end all professionally rebuilt. 4:56 rear gears were replaced at rebuilding with 3:70 gears in original differential case to make freeway driving more pleasant. Original 4:56 ring and pinion gears and 4 series carrier are excellent and go with sale.
There are less than 1200 miles on all rebuilt mechanicals. Car is driven monthly about 10 miles.
New premium soft top professionally installed. Comes with two sets of wheels and tires, the reproduction KO's you see and the steel wheels and hubcaps as shown in the DUNTOV award.
I am selling my Corvette because I have owned many mid-year Corvettes over the past 30 years and need a change. I am not exactly sure what that change will be. I have been a member of the NCRS since 1995.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call ME, Jim Gessner at 909-557-4870 and I will introduce you to Mark. Car is 40 MILES NORTH OF SAN DIEGO ON THE COAST.
