LISTED 2-25-10, SOLD.......SOLD......SOLD........3-8-10

Here is a beautiful 1967 Goodwood Green / black and white Tuxedo interior, 427/390 Air Conditioned coupe with documented three owner history.

It is a beautiful factory air car with 4 speed, 3:36 posi, 427/390hp original engine, TI Ignition, original trans, original differential, AM/FM, full tint, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, and never damaged body. The three owner history goes from Huntsville, Alabama, to Miami, Florida to Phoenix, Arizona.

Sold new to Robert J. Simon, 3301 Patton Rd. Apt # 3, Huntsville, Alabama, which was right across the street from Redstone Arsenal and Army Airfield, so we believe he was a Army pilot. The POP says the engine is T0117IL, Trans P7A09, Diff AU 0116, Paint 983, Goodwood Green, interior 455 White-Black vinyl.

The car was sold new by Gene Crump Chevrolet, 1040 Woodmont Drive, Tuscumbia, Alabama. All the major driveline components are original and agree with the paperwork.

Marilin Cabassee from Miami, Florida bought the car on December 2, 1984. The current Phoenix, Arizona owner put it in his garage on July 17-1995.

Scott has loved this car for 15 years. Documented mileage in 1995 was 45530. Today it is 59896.

This car was inspected by Jack Murray on Feb 17, 2010. He says it runs and drivers as new and everything works even the air conditioning was freezing on the 80 degree Arizona day. The temp gauge showed 39 degrees out the center vent.

The starter, carburetor, transistor ignition distributor, master cylinder and shock absorbers and air compressor have been replaced with service replacements over the years. The ORIGINAL distributor, compressor, And all 4 original shocks are still with the car. As a preventative maintenance item, the current owner replaced the original factory plastic timing gear and chain in 1995 when he bought the car for fear it would break. He says the engine, trans, and differential have never been rebuilt or opened except for the timing chain and the entire driveline runs as new with no issues.

The car appears to be original lacquer on the undamaged body, and most likely has been blended and added to in the mid 80’s. The current owner has not touched the body or paint. A replacement Al Knoch interior was installed in the 80’s and today looks good with typical ‘patina’ of a well cared for vehicle.

We have all looked and looked for Corvettes over the past 5 years and discovered a lot of misrepresented junk out there. This car is a bargin and rarely discovered vehicle for sale. Offered at $78500.

One owner Carl Benson until July 27, 2007. Carl ordered the car 2/26/66 and received Ohio title on 4/28/66. Original factory and dealer paperwork includes purchase order, Body broadcast sheet, Chassis broadcast sheet, dealer inspection sheet, Shipper invoice, Warantee Protecto plate, copy of original title, original keys. Car shows 20481 miles. Car has the original top and interior. Paint is 85% original.

The engine, heads, intake, carburetor, distributor, and alternator have all been verified as the original items shipped with the car when new. I have these numbers if needed. Car is in Phoenix, AZ and offered in the mid $70's.

A VERY RARE CORVETTE ENGINE. This engine is the original engine from 1963 Pilot Line Corvette #100022. YES, THIS IS THE engine from the twenty second (22nd) 1963 Corvette made. It was discovered in Detroit, Michigan in the early 1980's, and was sold to a collector in Palm Springs, California who has stored it for the last 26 years. Originally a fuel injection engine, it still has its original pop-up 11:00 to 1 compression pistons, original crankshaft, original 097 "DUNTOV" solid lifter camshaft, front timing cover, timing chain, and five quart trap door oil pan.

The stampings are 3100022 F0618RF= Flint plant, Monday June 18, 1962 assembly, RF= fuel injection Corvette, manual trans. The E102 cast date equates to Thursday May 10, 1962.

There is no ridge on the cylinder wall, so the engine appears to have very little wear. There are no heads or intake.

The first 25 cars were Pilot line cars, where engineering pretty much hand built these cars on the assembly line so they could set up the production line for the new car assembly. They also tried out accessories like air conditioning to see how they worked or would they work.

12 of the 25 have been discovered or there is history about them. It is believed that #22 was a coupe and is in Florida, although it has been a story for many years in California that it is a red / red Southern California convertible.

I own this engine, so bring all offers to me. I would love to see it go to the car owner of #022 where it belongs, and if that fails, perhaps a Pilot line owner would prefer to have a 'real' engine in his car rather than a restamp.

64 VIN #11714, VERY RARE big brake J-56, FUEL INJECTION coupe: TRIM TAG:

Dealer Purchase order confirms all Options which include Fuel Injection, 4 speed, 4:11 positraction, Transistor ignition, J-56 Special Brake system, F-40 special HD Suspension, White wall tires, Aluminum knock off wheels, N-11 off road exhaust, AM/FM Radio, EZ Eye tint windows (all),and Back up lights.

Total sticker price was $7292.77. There were only 29 J-56 BIG BRAKE CARS made in 1964, 552 Transistor ignition cars, 82 HD Suspension, and 1325 fuel injection cars.

The right front fender area was damaged by an exploding clutch disc. Also a very minor L/F fender bumps. New GM glass for R/F vent area and inner fender are with the car.

Current owner is in Kentucky. He had been chasing the car since 1985 and bought the car in 2005 from the 1981 New York State owner. In 2007 he visited by phone with the original owner who currently lives in North Carolina.

The car, originally black / black, was repainted white in 1975 by Richie at A&R Corvette in New York. He was spoken to in 2008. Ritchie not only remembered the car, but supplied former owners, one of whom had the original fuel injection emblems which have now been returned to the car.

History is the car was street raced in the 60’s and early 70’s and a clutch exploded and damaged the R/F Fender and inner fender. The inner fender was replaced with a 1966-67 unit at that time. A new NOS 64 fiberglass vent and inner fender goes with the car.

The Engine is the original as well as transmission. A 1972 dated diff is in the car, but a 1964 dated case has been found. The car has repo knock offs. Bumpers have been plated by Martin’s of Philadelphia. Interior was replaced some time ago, but door panels are original. The 77852 odometer reading is the original miles per previous owners.

The engine was rebuilt by Gale Banks in California. Fuel injector, TI distributor and module are original to the car.

All of the very RARE J-56 BRAKE parts (ONLY 29 CARS MADE WITH THIS BRAKE SYSTEM IN 1964) have been restored, and a huge file cabinet full of NOS parts have been located for the car. See photos. This car should be an easy restoration.

For sale today at $125,000. If not sold soon, it will go to repaint restoration after January 2010, and then be for sale for more money. I know the owner, and possible trade may be accepted.

This has been a California car its entire life. History to the early 80's. The car was Body off frame restored in 2005-06 by 15 year Bloomington Gold and NCRS Master Judge Dennis Hakim. The ORIGINAL engine was balanced and machined perfectly and new .030 pistons with 11:25 compression were installed with a NOS 30-30 camshaft. Real deal engine, with real deal parts.Chris Wickersham restored the original fuel injection system that came with the car.

The California black plate # DEP298 was issued to the car when it was brand new.

The car has been judged at two NCRS Regional meets. The 2006 Vancover, Washington and 2007 Las Vegas, Nevada events produced Top Flight Awards. Best score was 97.3.

Over $125,000 has been invested in this car, but today's economy says $75000 to $90,000 is real value. This is a great car for a collector of fine cars. It is one of the best 64 Corvettes on the planet.

1963 CORVETTE SPLIT WINDOW COUPE. 2nd owner since 1965, VIN 5320, built around Wednesday Dec 19, 1962. Trim tag says SILVER/ BLACK VINYL.

The current owner purchased the car in 1965 from a young man in Manhattan Beach, California. The paint was in poor condition at the time, but the car was very original. Car has few options of only 300hp engine, AM/FM radio and powerglide transmission. The original engine was destroyed in a rebuild in 1998 by the machine shop, however a correct 3782870 short block was found and installed with the original engine heads, intake, distributor and other engine items.

A Chevrolet Turbo 350 three speed automatic transmission was installed at the time of the rebuild for better drivability.

The body and chassis are a beautiful example of a Southern California rust free and never damaged Corvette. The base coat clear coat paint installed in 2005 has great luster and the color match is very close to original. Triple tail lights were installed in 1968 when the car was painted the first time.

Interior is original except for the headliner which had a custom install many years ago and is quite handsome. Seat covers and carpets were replaced in 1998, and are showing some fade and minor wear. The original glove box door is cracked. Gauges were all restored in 1998 are in excellent condition.

The jack, handle and spare tire are all present. Original hub caps and very nice Goodyear Radial black wall tires are in excellent condition. Car is Located in Palm Springs, CA and runs and drives very well with no issues.
